Woman, Life, Freedom
About Her or Hair
I have photographed portraits of Iranian women while they are staring at the camera. This stare is accompanied by a questioning of the audience who is looking at their photo. These women started the "Women, life, freedom" movement, to achieve their basic rights. A movement that spread beyond the borders of Iran and in integration with the demands of women in the world. Realizing the demands of women throughout history against the patriarchal structure requires active action.
Short description of artwork: The subject of my works is generally about "WOMEN". My proposed work is about the social position of women in Iran, which was noticed by the international community with the recent movement called "Women, Life, Freedom". Many reports were published through the media and the people of the world supported this movement with words. The question is, what practical support can be done in order to fulfill the demands of this movement (which extended beyond the borders of Iran)?

The Reprsentation of a Living
This art piece has been created in reference to the limitations on the "presence" of women in the world that the artist is living. These are limitations that sometimes include the prohibition of such basic attendance in the society. However, through all these years, the community of women have still attempted to eradicate all these limitations. In this video, an object, shaped like an optic lens and made of ice, is put in front of the lens and at the center of the picture behind the object, the unclear portrait of the artist is shown. While the ice is gradually melting, a clear "presence" happens. It is the "presence" that has always been the purpose of all these years of campaign.

Representation ?
the elimination of women s faces or names that indicate her personal identity from obituaries is quite common while the face and the body of any individual regardless of all sexual prejudice are the first things that find an identity. The ads only reflect women who are only mothers sisters and wives belonging to others. In their lives their identity was built on their presence alongside “an other person” and now when they have no opportunity to live any more men are still the demonstration of their “being”. Even after death flower candle or the script which have replaced for a woman which despite being different.
